  • Irritation in tight clothing

Labiaplasty techniques at Revive

Advanced Labiaplasty Techniques

Trim Labiaplasty

Trim labiaplasty removes excess tissue along the outer edge of the labia minora to create a smoother, more symmetrical contour. This technique is highly effective for elongated or darkened labial edges and allows precise reshaping.

Wedge Labiaplasty

Wedge labiaplasty removes a wedge-shaped portion from the thickest area of the labia while preserving the natural outer border. This technique maintains a more natural edge and may reduce tension along the incision line.

Labia Majoraplasty

Labia majoraplasty can reduce enlarged labia majora or restore lost volume using fat grafting or advanced volume restoration techniques. This procedure helps improve contour, symmetry, and youthful appearance.

Clitoral Hood Reduction

Clitoral hood reduction removes excess tissue surrounding the clitoris to improve comfort, balance proportions, and enhance the overall aesthetic result when combined with labiaplasty.

Each procedure is customized based on your anatomy, goals, and desired appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please Contact us if you have any additional questions. We are here to help you.
Will Labiaplasty affect sensation?

When performed properly using advanced surgical techniques, labiaplasty is designed to preserve sensation while improving comfort and appearance.

Will I need Anesthesia for Labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty is usually done under local anesthesia but you may elect to do it under general anesthesia at the surgery center for additional fee. Most patients choose local anesthesia for a faster recovery and lower cost, but we offer general anesthesia for your total comfort at our partner surgery center.

How is the recovery after Labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty is an outpatient procedure. You will be able to go home the same day. You may experience some light vaginal bleeding or pain. You will get pain prescriptions to help you the first few days. All stitches are dissolvable and do not need to be removed in the office. Any swelling usually resolves within two weeks. Scars are minor and hard to notice once you are completely healed.

Most patients return to work few days after the surgery and can resume normal activities within a week. You can resume physical exercise by 4 weeks, and sexual activity by 6 weeks.

Our team at Revive will guide you through each stage of recovery to ensure optimal healing and long-term satisfaction.

What are the risks and potential complications of Labiaplasty surgery?

Complications of Labiaplasty are infrequent with an experienced surgeon but ,like all surgical procedures, Labiaplasty carries potential risks which can include:

  • Too much tissue or not enough tissue removed.
  • Bleeding.
  • Infection.
  • Bruising or hematoma.
  • Wound breakdown.
  • Scar formation.
  • Ongoing pain, pain with sex or loss of sensitivity.
  • Unsatisfactory cosmetic results.
How much does Labiaplasty cost?

The cost of labiaplasty surgery ranges from $6000-$9000 depending on the type of labiaplasty, the type of anesthesia needed, and whether it involves clitoral hood reduction, or posterior commissure revision. Dr. Elshoreya will discuss with you what is needed to be done to achieve your goals and will give you a more accurate estimate at your consultation visit.

Since cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance, Revive has financial options to help you pay at your own pace. No interest if paid within 6 months for qualified patients.

Do you perform revisions for a previous labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty results depend heavily on the anatomy and skill of the original surgeon. This procedure should only be performed by a Cosmetic Gynecologist or surgeon specifically trained in cosmetic gynecology. Dr. Elshoreya performs labiaplasty revisions, though revision surgery takes more effort and results may not be as ideal as they would be with an initial procedure.

Can labiaplasty be combined with other procedures?

Yes. Labiaplasty is commonly combined with clitoral hood reduction, vaginoplasty, perineoplasty, labia majora reduction or augmentation, fat transfer, AlloClae™, O-Shot®, Clitoxin™, or non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation. Combining procedures can improve both cosmetic appearance and functional concerns while allowing a single recovery period. During your consultation, Dr. Elshoreya will recommend the combination that best matches your anatomy, goals, and desired outcome. View all our cosmetic Gynecology services.
