CO₂ Laser Skin Resurfacing & Vaginal Rejuvenation in Marlton, NJ

At Revive GYN, we offer one of the most advanced solutions in skin and intimate wellness: fractional CO₂ laser therapy. This powerful technology treats both external skin and internal vaginal tissue using a dual-mode system designed for precision, safety, and natural-looking results.

Whether you're addressing fine lines, scars, skin laxity, or vaginal changes after childbirth or menopause, our CO₂ laser treatments deliver visible improvement with minimal downtime.

What Is a Fractional CO₂ Laser?

Fractional CO₂ laser works by creating thousands of microscopic channels in the skin or mucosa. This "fractional" approach means only a portion of the tissue is treated at once, leaving surrounding tissue intact to act as a reservoir for rapid healing.

The process triggers two vital biological responses:

  • Immediate Tightening: The heat from the laser causes existing collagen fibers to contract.
  • Long-term Regeneration: The controlled injury stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, resurfacing the skin and tightening tissue from within.

What Does CO₂ Laser Treat?

Our dual-mode system allows us to switch seamlessly between aesthetic skin resurfacing and intimate wellness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please Contact us if you have any additional questions. We are here to help you.
How many sessions of CO₂ Laser will I need?
  • For skin resurfacing, many patients see significant improvement after just one session. However, for deep acne scars or advanced wrinkling, a series of 2–3 treatments may be recommended.
  • For vaginal rejuvenation, a standard protocol typically consists of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
When will I see results?

You will notice an immediate tightening of the tissue, but the real "magic" happens as your body produces new collagen. Optimal results for skin texture and tone typically appear 3–6 months after treatment and can continue to improve for up to a year.

Does CO₂ Laser hurt?

We prioritize your comfort. For skin resurfacing, we apply a strong topical numbing cream before the procedure. Most patients describe the sensation as an intense warmth or a "prickling" feeling.

Internal vaginal treatments are generally not painful, as the tissue has fewer pain receptors, and often require no anesthesia at all.

How long is the downtime after CO₂ Laser?
  • Skin Resurfacing: Expect 3–7 days of social downtime. Your skin will feel like a sunburn and may peel or flake as the new, healthy skin surfaces.
  • Vaginal Rejuvenation: Minimal downtime if any. Most patients return to their daily routine immediately, though we recommend refraining from intimate activity for about 3–5 days.
Is CO₂ Laser treatment safe for all skin types?

While CO₂ lasers are incredibly effective, they require expert settings for different skin tones. During your consultation at Revive GYN, we will assess your skin type to ensure the laser settings are customized for your safety and to prevent hyperpigmentation.

How long does the CO₂ Laser procedure take?

The CO₂ laser procedure typically takes 15–30 minutes, depending on the treatment area and the procedure being performed. For skin resurfacing treatments, a topical numbing cream is applied for approximately 30 minutes beforehand to maximize comfort. Internal vaginal CO₂ laser treatments do not require numbing and are generally well tolerated.

Can CO₂ laser treatment be combined with other procedures?

Yes. CO₂ laser treatment can be combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance healing and support collagen production. PRP uses growth factors from your own blood to promote tissue repair and may improve recovery and overall results. During your consultation, we will determine whether combining PRP with your CO₂ laser treatment is appropriate based on your goals and the area being treated.
